INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Compassionate
Therapy for Healing & Happiness

Evidence-based therapy to support your emotional wellbeing.
Individual therapy provides a confidential, safe space to work through trauma, anxiety, depression, and the challenges that feel overwhelming. Whether you're navigating a difficult transition, processing past experiences, or seeking tools to manage your emotions, therapy offers the professional support to help you move forward.
We provide therapy to individuals aged 14 and over, available in-person at our Bateau Bay practice or via telehealth.

Individual therapy provides support when you're facing challenges that feel difficult to navigate alone. Therapy can help if you're experiencing:
Overwhelming emotions that are hard to regulate
Trauma or difficult past experiences that affect your daily life
Persistent anxiety, racing thoughts, or constant worry
Depression, low mood, or loss of interest in things you once enjoyed
Suicidal thoughts or self-harming behaviours
Feeling constantly on edge or hypervigilant
Substance use as a way to cope
Relationship difficulties or patterns that keep repeating
Grief, loss, or major life transitions
Questions about identity, direction, or self-worth
Our Approach to Therapy
We use evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to your unique needs. Depending on what brings you to therapy, we might draw from:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a structured therapy that helps people process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. It uses bilateral stimulation, like eye movements, to support the brain’s natural healing process.
Schema Therapy is an integrative approach that helps people identify and change deeply rooted patterns or “schemas” developed in childhood. It combines elements of cognitive, behavioral, and experiential therapies to promote long-term emotional growth.
DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) is a structured therapy that helps people manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and build coping skills. It combines mindfulness, acceptance, and behaviour change strategies to support emotional regulation and resilience.
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) is a goal-oriented approach that helps people identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. It’s based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and actions are interconnected.
Psychodynamic therapy is a depth-oriented approach that explores how unconscious patterns and early life experiences shape current thoughts, feelings, and relationships. It aims to increase self-awareness and emotional insight for lasting change.
